This year, the third edition of the Salon du Vintage in Paris will focus on 80’s fashion. Clothing and accessories of the new wave era will be what this fair is all about. Symbolic 80’s pieces by Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, Azzedine Alaïa and Claude Montana, to name a few, will be for sale at this Salon du Vintage. The big names of Parisian vintage clothing merchants (Scarlett, Christian Daubanay, En Ville Vintage…) will be selling their wonders at this fair, as well as many others from all over the world.

FrenchTrotters is a concept store owned by Carole and Clarent who travel the world and bring back stylish clothes by young and hip designers (Acne, APC Madras, Avril Gau, Becksondergaard, Burfitt, Cabane de Zucca, Gaspard Yurkievich, Lemaire, Mads Norgaard, Maison Fabre, Malin+Goetz…) FrenchTrotters is located on the fashionable section of rue de Charonne, alongside with the trendy stores Isabel Marant, Oxyde, Philippe Roucou, Sessùn… There is also FrenchTrotter Homme (for men) in the lively Marais district as well as FrenchTrotter Enfants (for kids).

Lots of accessories in this vintage clothing store in the Marais. Le Verger du Prince is a busy shop with overflowing shelves that go up to the ceiling. Leather boots and glittery fabrics, 60’s and 70’s sweaters, dresses and jackets… a lot to go through for some really good finds.

Vintage Desire is a very popular shop filled with cheap vintage clothing in the heart of the Marais. Lots of bags and shoes too. You’ll have to squeeze your way through this pocket-size shop. A handful of people is enough to crowd this place so I would advise checking out Vintage Desire during the week or in the evening—it is open 7 days a week and until 9pm every day. And when you are done shopping head for the best falafel in Paris a few doors down the street, at l’As du Fallafel!
