A major event on the domestic and international artistic and cultural scenes, the 2011 edition will be the exhibition’s 15th anniversary and will focus this year on African photography from Bamako to Cape Town. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Organized by the Fondation Pierre Berger and the Petit Palais - Musée des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris, this is the first comprehensive retrospective of Yves Saint Laurent&#8217;s work. 307 pieces taken from his <em>haute couture</em> and <em>prêt-à-porter</em> collections, ranging from his early days at Dior in 1958 to his final collection of evening gowns in 2002, will be on display. Films and photographs illustrating Yves Saint Laurent&#8217;s 40 years of creation within its historical context will complete this&nbsp;exhibition. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span class="dquo"><span class="dquo">&#8220;</span></span>Conceived as a work in sound and vision, <em>Personnes</em> takes up a new theme in Boltanski&#8217;s work, building on his earlier explorations of the limits of human existence and the vital dimension of memory : the question of fate, and the ineluctability of death. <em>Personnes</em> transforms the entire Nave of the Grand Palais through the creation of a coherent, intensely moving installation conceived as a gigantic animated tableau. Personnes is a one-off, ephemeral work. In accordance with the artist&#8217;s wishes, the components of the piece will all be recycled at the end of the&nbsp;exhibition.&#8221;</p>

Major museums such as the British Museum, the Tate Britain, the National Gallery of Scotland, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Louvre Museum, as well as private collectors, have lent their works for this retrospective. The show gathers over 150 pieces by William Blake, including drawings, paintings, etchings and books. There&#8217;s also a little treat a the end of the show signed by Francis&nbsp;Bacon.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The legendary collection of Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé will be open to the public for three days at the Grand Palais before it is auctioned off. Impressionist and modern paintings (Picasso, Matisse, Mondrian, Léger, Cézanne, Duchamp…), old masters&#8217; paintings (Ingres, Géricault…) and drawings, 19th century paintings, silver miniatures and objects of virtue, 20th century furniture and decorative arts, sculptures and works of arts, over seven hundred pieces gathered by the two men over 50 years will be shown at the Grand Palais. This is a first in  the history of the Grand Palais&#8217; exhibition program. The proceeds from the auction, estimated between €200 million and €300 million, will go to the Pierre Bergé -Yves Saint Laurent Foundation to help the <span class="caps">AIDS</span> medical&nbsp;research.</p>

Lots of great 80&#8217;s synthesizer sounds mixed with a heavy influence of new wave, there new 79 <span class="caps">EP</span> is out and sounds really&nbsp;promising!</p>
